The big rocks in my bucket o' life are music, computing, my spirit, and my network of friends, but I'm currently looking to put another big rock in there, in the form of a female companion.
I enjoy listening to a wide variety of music and play guitar & bass guitar, am somewhat competent behind a set of drums, and am a sporadic songwriter. When I'm on the bass guitar and people that I haven't played with before jump in and play, they're usually pleasantly surprised at my output. I'm not a slapper/popper, but I do like to lay a solid foundation so that the other musicians can get into the song.
Regarding Computers, I taught myself BASIC on a Radio Shack TRS-80 when they first came out and through trial and error, came up with some pretty interesting "screen saver" possibilities. Sort of like an advanced form of the "Mystify Your Mind" screensaver in Windows. I got talked into applying for grants & loans and getting into college, and ended up with a degree that didn't amount to much. Windows came out the last quarter that I went there, and a few quarters after I got my sheepskin, the college was closed due to lack of accreditation. I'm still paying the student loan off, but can't say it was a waste.
I got introduced to fractals while there, and still cruise the M-set 15 years later. I also found that I have the knack for helping people get into using the computer, and it got me familiar with the big 3 apps (word processing, spreadsheets, databases) for later use.
Recreationally, I'm sort of scatterbrained, as I don't chip away at one particular area of interest all the time. Graphics and audio apps are my main areas of interest.
